Renting an unfurnished house? Plan the setup before move-in.

Confirm which fixtures and built-ins are part of the rental.

The property photographs show furniture and movable décor in some rooms, but the rental is offered unfurnished. Built-in cabinetry, fixed bathroom fixtures and permanent property features are different from movable furnishings.

Before buying large items, confirm what will remain at handover.

Take dimensions for the expensive items that are difficult to return.

• bedroom wall lengths and bed clearance;
• wardrobe and dresser placement;
• sofa and dining-table dimensions;
• refrigerator and other appliance spaces;
• window widths for curtains or blinds;
• stair and doorway clearance for large furniture;
• outdoor furniture if you plan to use the porches or balcony.

Furnish the spaces you need first.

Because every bedroom has its own bathroom, you can also stage bedroom setup one room at a time instead of completing the whole upper level immediately.

Keep rent and deposit separate from furnishing money.

The Ella Vista rental is TT$10,000 per month with a TT$10,000 security deposit. Utilities are separate. The HOA is included in the rent.

That means the move-in plan should leave room for rent, deposit, utility setup and the furniture or equipment you actually need. Avoid spending the housing buffer entirely on décor.

More space is useful when each area has a purpose.

The house includes multiple living spaces, four ensuite bedrooms, porches and an upstairs balcony. Decide which rooms will serve as family space, guest accommodation, office or storage before moving boxes in. That makes the large floor plan easier to manage from the first week.
